Love these guys
I really enjoy watching the food that they cook, and the banter they have between one and another. I just love hearing the Italian language. Sometimes I cant understand, but when they travelled up northern Italy, I could understand without reading the sub titles. I would love the receipe with the slow cooked meat in the red wine. It was making my mouth water. Are there any more episodes to come? Good on you SBS its a great show. Thank you

Orzotto Pearl Barley Soup
I have cooked this twice since seeing it on Two Greedy Italians, my family loves it. I found that if you soak the pearl barley in cold water for about 8 hours it will soften and will cook much better in the recipie.

Terrific Series
This is a terrific series, both hosts are so engaging; the destinations are picturesque; and it's beautifully shot. Its great to learn so much about Italy through Italian eyes. The only thing I love more than this series is Antonio Carluccio himself (...Gennaro is pretty good too).

Great Show
It would be nice to be able to download the Two Greedy Italians...still hungry so that we are able to watch it more than once. I missed taping Episode 2 on Liguria (I have taped all the other shows) and whilst I could watch it online on SBS, I would have loved to download it onto my computer. Why do you not allow this? The series is brilliant, so down to earth, and I just love Antonio and Gennaro, they are naturals! Very lovable and entertaining! We hope there will be more shows made by them.

Love show
Two amazing people, and great chefs. A fig through car window, the mullet and tomato dish, amazing. A cynical Antonio, who is awesome, and a water haired Genaro, style orientated. These two are magic. Simple. And boy, they can cook. Antonio is my number one, and Genaro number two, but both equal in the cooking stakes. I could watch over and over, and watched the first series like this. Over and over!! Great scenery, great faces, great simple cooking, lovely wine, peoples' lives, & Italy so real.

fantastic show
This show was tremendous and those men make cooking look so effortless so I shall be watching again. I love the scenery and would just love a month to drive around Italy and take it all in. you don't see on a tour. It is easy to understand why they are so concerned about the school canteen and obesity. I think one of the highlights was watching the kids make their own bread.

What a wonderful show this is, I missed Series One but I'll be watching every minute of this series with great interest. It's thoroughly entertaining from the food perspective, informative, humorous in parts, and it teaches good sound values of family life from the past that we should not lose.

Hot Tips

Daily grind

It’s important to check your mortar and pestle regularly for small cracks since they can trap food and breed germs. All you can do in this case is discard them. After use, give the mortar and pestle a good rinse in warm water (and a little detergent if you’ve been using particularly pungent ingredients). Pounding a little uncooked rice after rinsing and drying the mortar and pestle helps remove residual odours.

Glossary

Pomegranate Molasses

A dark sticky liquid made from pomegranates and used to add a tart flavour, usually to Middle Eastern cuisine.
