SBS FOOD WEBSITE USER GENERATED CONTENT RULES

The SBS Food website www.sbs.com.au/food (the Website) is a website which enables users to submit user generated content (UGC) such as their own recipes, photos and comments (Submissions).  In order for everyone to enjoy the opportunity to exchange UGC, you must read and abide by these SBS Food User Generated Content Rules (the UGC Rules) and the general terms and conditions for using SBS Network (Conditions of Use). 

SBS FOOD Website Users

People submitting UGC to the Website (Users) agree and warrant that they will not post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, defamatory, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated or any other material that may violate any applicable laws or the rights of any person. 

Doing so may lead to Users being immediately and permanently banned (and their service provider being informed). The IP address of all Submissions is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. Users agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this Website have the right to remove, edit, move or close part of the Website at any time should they see fit. SBS is not obliged to use any Submissions.

While the administrators and moderators of this Website will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it may not be possible to review every Submission. Therefore Users acknowledge that all Submissions made to this Website express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster and hence SBS and its agents and licensees will not be held liable for any action arising from the Submissions.

SUBMISSIONS

Users can make Submissions to the Website subject to the following requirements. By making a Submission to the Website, Users agree to accept the UGC Rules. 

-	Users, as the creator, warrant that they are the original creator of and own copyright in the Submission. 
-	Users warrant that the Submission does not contain any unlicensed third party copyright material. 
-	SBS acknowledges that the User owns the copyright in their Submission and will use best endeavours to credit the User where it is used. 
-	The User agrees that copyright in any websites, publications, programs and/or other media produced by or on behalf of SBS incorporating the Submission will be owned by SBS. 
-	The User consents to use of the Submission by SBS and its licensees, whether alone or as part of any website, publication, programs and/or other media. 
-	SBS and its licensees may use the User's name, photograph, voice, biographical material and extracts of the Submission in any media for the purpose of publicising and promoting the Submission, any programs and/or other media incorporating the Submission, or SBS. 
-	The User indemnifies SBS and its agents and licensees from and against any actions, claims, costs, expenses and damages incurred by SBS as a result of any breach by the User of any of the warranties and obligations under this agreement. 

The UGC Rules may be updated from time to time as advised on the Website. 

PRIVACY

Users agree to any information they have entered above being stored in a database and accessed by SBS and SBS authorised third parties who may administer this website and are bound by these privacy terms. While this information will not be disclosed to any other third party without the User's consent the webmaster, administrators and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised. This Website's system uses cookies to store information on the User's local computer. These cookies do not contain any of the information the User has entered, they serve only to improve the User's viewing pleasure. Users' contact details will be used only for confirming registration details and passwords (and for sending new passwords should the User forget the current one) and for contacting the User in relation to their Submission or the competition.
