Walnut brownies recipe

Ingredients

125g butter
100g sugar
Pinch of orange zest
3 eggs
125g flour
25g cocoa powder
100g walnuts, chopped
125g milk chocolate (good quality)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan-forced/400°F) and grease a baking tin.

Beat the butter, sugar and orange zest, and stir in the eggs one by one. Mix together the flour, cocoa powder and walnuts and stir into the egg mixture.

Pour the mixture in the tin and spread evenly. Bake for 30-45 minutes, remove from the oven and set aside to cool.

Melt the chocolate in a bain marie and spread on top of the cake. Cut into 12 brownies and leave to firm.
