Ingredients
200 ml olive oil
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
4 leaves fresh basil, chopped
1 tsp dried sage
Fresh ground black pepper to taste
½ jar sun-dried tomato paste (Sacla brand)*
250 ml water
500 ml fresh cream
Salt to taste
Preparation
Heat the oil in a 2 litre skillet then add the garlic and fry, taking care it doesn’t burn. Add the basil and sage when the garlic is soft, followed by the black pepper. Stir for a moment then add the sundried tomatoes plus the water. Stir and cook for two minutes.
Pour in the cream and salt to taste.
Simmer on a low heat for 10 minutes.
Note:
Makes approximately 1 litre of sauce – enough for 750g dry pasta
