Bringing no-fuss cheap eats to a whole new level, this Thai-inspired bistro serves up wholesome meals to hungry revellers at the infamous Pav Hotel. The choose-your-own-adventure style menu lets diners here decide how each stage of their meal is constructed. Select your favourite meat, how it's cooked and the topping, and before you know it there's a piping hot meal in front of you. Alternately, you might try the kaow ka moo; its description as "pork and rice" is a gross understatement of the abundant flavours this dish actually holds.

Hot Tips

Saffron thread

Grind the saffron thread with some salt in a mortar and pestle until it is like a fine powder. It will be distributed through the paella evenly giving a better colour and flavour to the finished dish.

Glossary

Candle Nuts

Candle Nuts look similar to a macadamia: round, creamy and with high oil content – they’re normally used to thicken sauces. Common in South East Asian cooking.
