Mixing Swiss and Indian cuisines sounds like an intriguing experiment, sure to raise a few eyebrows, and Keller's certainly does just that. This offbeat mixture came about when Beat Keller, who is a classically trained Swiss chef, bought an already established Indian eatery and decide to add his signature style without subtracting the original menu. The result is an utterly unique, cross-continental eatery. The atmosphere here is relaxed and the waitstaff are friendly and patient, keeping their smiles with every inevitable query of, "Swiss and Indian? How on earth did that happen?" Though one doesn't usually start with the dessert menu, here you should definitely take a peak before you order the rest of your meal. The most heartbreaking thing that could happen would be to fill up on samosas and not leave enough room for the heavenly white and dark Toblerone chocolate mousse; or the coupe rum baba (thin golden brandy snaps with banana chips and rum and raisin ice cream). If you've never had a cheese fondue, this is the place to try it - as long as you can find a couple of friends to help you scrape up the last of the cheese. The rest of the Swiss side of the menu features hearty mains, with the most popular dish being the almost unpronounceable Zurcher geschnetzeltes, a mouth-watering combination of thinly sliced veal cooked in a creamy mushroom sauce and served with a plate of Swiss rosti potatoes.

Different paprikas
When using paprika make sure you are using the right variety for the dish you are cooking. The Spanish smoked paprika is ideal for paella, while the Hungarian sweet paprika is quite different in flavour and is ideal for their goulash.
