Most restaurants billed as Mediterranean are surprisingly limited in what they provide. At Princess Jasmine's, however, the unique but compatible offerings include Italian, Lebanese and Egyptian cuisine. Owner Abraham has assembled a cracking kitchen team, headed by Amira, who has some 15 years experience under his belt. At lunch a barbecue gets underway, grilling up succulent chicken and lamb. For dinner the speciality is the barramundi fillet. If you wish to dine on a Friday or Saturday, you would be best advised to book early, as the place fills up to the sounds of vibrant live Lebanese music, with the occasional belly dancer to boot.

Hot Tips
Fatty casseroles
If you find that your goulash is too fatty either let it rest on the stove for a few minutes and then skim off the fat. If you have a little extra time place the goulash in the fridge and allow the fat to solidify on top of the dish. Remove fat before reheating.
Glossary
Blackstrap Molasses
Unrefined molasses; characterized by an especially strong taste and greater nutrient value.
