Step inside the doors of Harambe and you might as well consider yourself in Ethiopia. Everything from the thatched roofing and the art adorning the walls (and ceiling), to the tasty, good-value food is, as restaurateur Dershaye Tessema proudly proclaims, 80% Ethiopian.
There are a range of authentic dishes (many of them vegetarian) including the national dish, doro wot, a slow-cooked chicken stew made with Ethiopian spiced butter and hot pepper. Tessema also cheerfully prepares the "softest bread in the world", injera, a pancake-like bread that he says is the secret to the Ethiopian people's strength thanks to its abundance of vital nutrients.

Hot Tips
Chopping an onion
Cut the onion it in half across the base (leaving a portion of root on each half - this will help keep the onion together while slicing), peel the onion and place cut side down. Make multiple cuts long ways from top to bottom but not through the root at the end. The more cuts, the finer the dice.
Glossary
Baby Corn
Tiny tender ears of corn. Available both fresh and canned. They require little cooking and add more colour and texture than flavour.
