There's something about Clarence Street that seems to produce great cafes with outstanding coffee. The playfully-titled Spilling The Beans is another example in a long list of CBD gems.
The Genovese coffee brewed up here is one of the main attractions, but by no means the only drawcard. Spilling The Beans also boasts some of the best breakfast tagines you're likely to find this side of the bridge, not to mention some stellar organic sandwiches.

Hot Tips
Deep frying
If you are deep frying and do not have a thermometer, you can test if the oil is ready by dropping a cube of crustless white bread in the oil. If the oil is hot enough the bread should be golden brown in about 60 seconds.
