Taking its lead from the hugely successful sister restaurant in Sydney, Spice Temple's southern outpost has single-handedly changed the face of contemporary Asian dining in Melbourne.

Like the original the food at STM is an homage to classic provincial Chinese cooking. Regional influences range from Szechuan, Yunnan, Jiangxi, Guangxi and Xinjiang so expect to see vibrant flavours and liberal use of several styles of chilli (dried, fresh, salted, pickled, brined, fermented).

Housed in the grandeur of Southbank's Crown Complex, the ambience of Spice Temple expansive yet intimate space is completed in usual Rockpool Group style with a fitout by Grant Cheyne and music tailored by Anton Monsted.
