Where's the consistency?
How can there be such an uproar over this issue which I'm sure will continue for most of the season. I used to be die-hard footy fan but now couldn't care less. It's being run by the channel nine footy show and David Gallop who doesn't seem to know how to run anything. There is no credibility.

Pay them all the same
After all this is supposed to be a TEAM effort so pay them all the same. Ok it may not put bums on seats straight away but maybe it will flush out all the TRUE league fans that have left previuosly. The NRL has to DISTANCE itself from outside Payments and concentrate on running League. If a racehorse was found to be drugged before a race would it be able to run. I doubt it very much. What a joke this has become. The cause is GREED. The storm should have been banned until they were LEGAL.

It's everywhere
NO matter what industry is involved, everyone likes something for nothing due to their position. A politician will get free gifts from the industry that is ministered by them. A movie star / musician expects freebies where ever they are. A sports person sees the money that their code brings in & wants more. Business people are always improving their profit margin. In the end, it is the general public that pays more due to the above people not paying the RRP or a fair price. It's call greed.

Cheating to Win
Great. A topic that no-one outside Queensland or NSW cares about... Are rugby teams corrupt? Who cares? I'd be more interested in debating why rugby players don't appear to have any necks.

Cheating to Win
There needs to be an investigation into player managers. An individual manager can represent a number of different players at a variety of clubs and so would have to be aware of the various pay arrangements that different clubs have in place. You could not imagine that these people would accept a (questionable?) arrangement with one club and not encourage a similar one at another club. They are paid to get the best deal for their clients. Somebody has be receiving these over-payments.

Whats so hard, pay them less!
Then you might attract players who really love the game rather than the prestige and wealth it can produce. No sportsperson deserve salaries that high. Musicians, artists and actors get nothing compared to sport, and our costs far exceed what any sportsmperson needs. Our careers span a lifetime and there are no winners or losers.Where is an Institute of Music that offers board, physio, instruments, music, pychologists and tuition scholarships for those with talent?
