Facebook privacy

Facebook is the greatest invasion of privacy and peer pressure to give out information on it.

Privacy violation in Government schools

It is worth taking your concerns to your local state's Ombudsman.

poker machines

How is it possible to have the discussion that was held on insight tonight without talking to anyone in WA where there are no clubs but somehow sporting clubs and other charities still manage to survive?

Photography can never tell the absolute truth. The picture is framed to sell to an audience. The taker usually edits crops chooses an angle to suit their own purposes-usually capital gain or fame. The people were framed in a certain way & used to sell the photographer's idea of themselves. The photographer felt powerful posing for someone else's shot & potentially making a candid moment fake. The photos are about her & her distancing herself from others SHE framed as destitute.

Our future Australians

My biggest concern is the threat of privacy through our children's use of Facebook, Myspace, Utube etc. There is a huge amount of peer pressure in our children's world to post on these sites and they are unaware of the consequences of placing there identity online as well as some of the immature things they do and say.

Home protection

I feel every home owner has the right to set up cameras if they feel it is necessary to keep an eye out for what is happening in their yards. In this day and age, there needs to be acceptance that these cameras installed at an individuals property can act as a deterrent for break-ins, similar to that of surveillance cameras in airports, shopping malls, out on the streets in major cities. Perhaps these cameras are just props, but real or not, with increased population, crime generally increases.

Privacy

Privacy is a human right. People need to be held more accountable to what they publish. Atleast on TV, or in art galleries, the sources are slightly more credible and the reporters have some degree of accountability for what they say... anything published on the internet on the other hand can prove viral. When I was 14 someone took my picture, and when I was 20 years old, I found this photo on youtube and lots of websites to illustrate "facial deformity". There were over 40 000 views. Disgustin
