On Tuesday March 9, in the 6.30 bulletin of World News Australia, two stories were run on separate drug products, Fosamax and Erbitux, which implied they were made by the same company.
Fosamax is made by the United States based Merck Sharp and Dohme, while Erbitux is made by the German based Merck Serono. SBS would like to make clear that despite the similarity of their names, the two companies are completely separate.
