Philippines floods: How you can help

A number of Australian aid agencies are currently considering how much help they can give the Philippines to overcome the devastation caused by Tropical Storm Ketsana.

SBS Radiothon

SBS Radio’s Filipino programme will be holding a radiothon to gather donations for the victims of Tropical Storm Ketsana, which has killed scores and left thousands homeless around Manila.

The radiothon will run on 97.7 FM between 11am and noon on Wednesday, and again on Thursday from 10am to 11am.

All proceeds will be donated to the Philippine National Red Cross and the National Disaster Coordinating Council of the Philippines.

How to donate

Donation can be deposited in the bank account of PCC NSW at Commonwealth Bank. Account detail are as follows:

Account Name : PCC NSW Inc.
Bank : Commonwealth Bank of Australia Inc.
BSB and Account Number: 062121 1044 7596

Request the bank teller to indicate "TOP-HAA – YOUR NAME" for reference.

Once deposited please notify PCC NSW by sending an email to contact@pcc-nsw.org.au or on 0423 590 561.

Donating Clothes and Other goods

Where can I donate clothes and other good for families in brisbane to be sent to Phillipines ? All i keep hearing on Australian news is the Samoan TSunami, and nothing about the phillipines ! My heart goes out to all families in Samoa and Philipines, but we need to help everyone not just samoans ! Can someone tell me if there is a brisbane drop off zone for clothes etc for Manila ?
