A group of children have become the first people in Britain to be vaccinated against swine flu, with Australian experts urging the UK to use the vaccine much more widely.

The UK’s health department says it will be administering the vaccine to several priority groups.

The most priority will be given to people aged six months to 65 years who already have health problems.

Pregnant women are next on the priority list, followed by those living with vulnerable people.

Sydney University, which launched its vaccination program before the UK, has urged experts there to use the vaccine as widely as possible.
