A Brazilian comedy show has been exposed impersonating Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva at Portuguese radio stations around the world.

The stunt was exposed by an SBS employee after the poor quality interview underwent closer examination.

Angolan state-radio had reportedly been broadcasting one of the interviews for days.

A Brazilian comedy show is believed to be behind the stunt, which saw an email sent to Portuguese language programs around the world, stating that the President wanted to clarify comments about the 2016 Olympic Games, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro.
