Windies falling apart

The Windies lost 4 for 14 at one stage, with Chanderpaul going for just 2 runs.

Despite capitulating late on, the Windies came out firing in their first innings late
on the second day .

After Australia declared at eight for 480, the Windies were none
for 41 off just six overs at tea.

Skipper Chris Gayle  thrashed 27 off 22 balls including four boundaries.

Earlier, Nathan Hauritz was 50 not out when Australia declared, becoming the fifth team member to notch a half century in the innings.

Windies strike twice early on

Just before lunch, Australia were 7 for 394 after Brad Haddin went for 38 and Mitchell Johnson was controversially caught behind for seven.

After being given out, Johnson referred the decision to the new umpire review system.

But he was still deemed out despite replays indicating Johnsondid not hit the ball.

Marcus North is not out 69 - the fourth batsman to notch a half century in Australia's first dig.

The Windies received a blow before the start of play on the second day with speedster Jerome Taylor sidelined with a hip injury.
