Rudd calls for climate action

Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd said he feared "a triumph of form over substance" at the outcome of the UN climate summit.

"I fear a triumph of form over substance. I fear a triumph of inaction over action," Rudd said in a speech to the conference in the Danish capital Copenhagen.

"The truth is that unless we all act together -- because we are all in this together -- there will be limited prospects of development because the planet itself will no longer sustain it."

"I fear that at this conference we are at the verge of letting down all of the little children of the world," he added.

"Everyone here will be judged as an individual for what we do or we fail to do".

"I would ask every leader at this summit to ask themselves: 'When I arrive home at the end of this week, will I be able to say that I did everything in my power to take action to combat climate change?'

"The children of the world are watching us," he added.

what is the solution

Here we go again the world meets and we are no further in front and when the PM comes home Mr Abbott will start his war with him would it just be nice for once to sit down agree there is a problem and fix it without scoring points make all new buildings have solar panels installed no exceptions for a start there is a problem lets get it fixed the longer the delay the more it will cost and if we have to be the first to do it let it be

'act together', I'm afraid your acting skills are poor. More and more people are realizing that this whole farce has nothing to do with fixing the problems of the world. The green flag got captured a long time ago. You've sold us all out for selfish gain to be apart of the new world government and no, we're not invited. Please people, take a step back and see the big picture. Don't be distracted by these people that pretend to care about the children they hug. The world is based on opposites.
