An Israeli mlitary court says two soldiers made a nine year old boy open a bag they suspected contained explosives, while also using him as a human shield.

Two Israeli soldiers have been convicted of using a nine-year-old Palestinian boy as a human shield during last year's Gaza war.

Sunday's ruling was the most serious conviction yet connected to soldiers' war conduct in Gaza.

Israel has faced widespread criticism that it failed to properly investigate alleged wrongdoing by troops during the three-week military operation. About 1400 Palestinians were killed, including
hundreds of civilians.

A UN probe accused both Israel and Gaza's Hamas rulers of committing war crimes. Israel denies the allegations.

In Sunday's ruling, a military court said the soldiers asked the boy to open bags that troops suspected contained explosives.

The Ynet news website says the soldiers could face up to three years in prison.

I am most certain that IF the boy was carrying the bags (which obviously is not the case since this was not stated in the IDF's own report), then the Israeli "Defence" Force would most certainly have put it in the report AND MOST CERTAINLY exhonerated their soldiers. And by the way, why would you even speculate that the 9 year old boy was carrying the bags? And if he were, would you then justify Jewish/Israeli soldiers using a NINE YEAR OLD to set off a potential BOMB and be KILLED??

The report failed to say if the boy was actually carrying the bags. If he was.....
