Disney has applied for a trademark on the name 'Seal Team 6,' the name of the unit of US Navy SEALs that killed Osama Bin Laden in a raid in Pakistan.

The Walt Disney Company has applied for a trademark on the name 'Seal Team 6,' the name of the unit of US Navy SEALs that killed Osama Bin Laden in a raid in Pakistan.

Three applications filed on May 3 - the day after the raid - with the US Patent and Trademark office by Disney Enterprises Inc state an intention to use the mark for a range of products, including entertainment and education services, clothing, toys, games and Christmas stockings.

Companies have tried to trademark combat-related terms before.

A day after US allied forces entered Iraq in 2003, Sony Corporation applied to trademark the war's catchphrase, "shock and awe," for use as the title of a video game.

The application was later abandoned.

First anti-semitic now anti-muslim. Now all Disney has to do is attack all the WASPs in America and we'll have ourselves a nice world war. Why don't they have a character of OBL handing out suicide bomber packs singing 'when you wish upon a crescent moon..' Does anyone have continent sized mirror to hold up to this great hub of humanity?
