China's most high profile artist might be languishing in detention but Ai Weiwei's fight for freedom of speech is on display in Hong Kong streets, Hannah Belcher reports.

China's most high profile artist might be languishing in detention but Ai Weiwei's fight for freedom of speech and artistic expression is boldly on display in Hong Kong streets.

A graffiti exhibition has gathered 17 mainland Chinese artists to rally for ai Weiwei's release, including friend Jian Jun Xi.

Ai Weiwei hasn't been seen since he was taken away at Beijing airport in April, en route to Hong Kong. The Chinese government says he evaded paying tax.

But in recent weeks a group of anonymous Hong Kong artists have spray-painted his image across the city.
