A clinic in Ecuador that reportedly claimed to "cure homosexuality" has been investigated over alleged human rights abuses.

A clinic in Ecuador that reportedly claimed to "cure homosexuality" has been investigated over alleged human rights abuses.

CNN's Rafael Romo spoke to an Ecuadorean woman, Paola Concha, who said her family could not come to terms with her homosexuality, so they contacted a 'therapeutic centre" that claimed it could "cure" her.

Paola was collected from her home one night and taken to the "clinic" where she spent 18 months against her will and endured all kinds of demeaning treatment.

The clinic has since been investigated over human rights violations.
