Plans to introduce women bishops are being discussed by the Church of England's ruling body, the General Synod.

More than two hundred campaigners marched to demand equality in the Church of England as the General Synod begins discussions on the women bishop issue.

A proposal is being debated this week which would force future women bishops to allow male bishops into their diesis and to give them equal power in order to deal with traditionalist parishes.

Campaigners say that would create in women second class bishops and they are determined to stop it.
