Is the world's largest democracy trying to clamp down on social media websites?

India may be the world’s largest democracy, but CNN’s Sara Sidner reports that it is pushing to clamp down on internet social media sites.

The government is calling for content on websites such as Facebook and Google to be pre-screened before it is published in order to avoid hurting some people’s religious sentiments.

But others say it is the government’s attempt to practice censorship.
