Germany, Argentina win at Team World Cup

Germany and Argentina have gone up at the Team World Cup tennis tournament in Duesseldorf.

Defending champions Germany and Argentina have improved their records to 2-0 at the Team World Cup.

Philipp Kohlschreiber sealed Germany's win over Croatia by beating Lovro Zovko 6-2 7-6 (2) in Duesseldorf on Wednesday.

Germany also won the doubles to complete a 3-0 sweep in the Blue Group.

Argentina swept Japan 3-0 in the Red Group. Carlos Berlocq beat Japan's Go Soeda 6-3 6-4 to secure the win and Argentina took the doubles as well.

Russia won the doubles to reduce its loss to Serbia to 2-1 in the Blue Group.

The Czech Republic closed out a 3-0 victory over the United States as Frantisek Cermak and Radek Stepanek defeated Andy Roddick and Ryan Harrison 7-6 (5) 5-7 10-8 in the doubles.
