As the AFL celebrates Multi-Cultural round this weekend, here’s the extraordinary tale of someone who's literally travelled across the globe to discover the national game.

Patrick Ndongo was born in Cameroon, where unemployment is 30 per cent, the life expectency is just 55 and a quarter of the population live on less than a dollar a day.

But on moving here five years ago Patrick found a game which initially mesmerised him, and now consumes his thoughts.
