An interactive exhibition showing how Indigenous Australians used to live on Sydney Harbour before colonisation has just opened.

An interactive exhibition has opened in Sydney showing how Indigenous Australians used to live on the foreshores of the country's most populated city.

Warrane II: Sacred Tracks of the Gadigal uses video simulations, soundscapes and panoramic photos to recreate the sites and sounds of Sydney Cove before European settlement in 1788.

The exhibition, by acclaimed Indigenous multimedia producer Brett Leavy, is an updated version of the successful Virtual Warrane exhibition, showcased at Sydney's Customs House for five years.

Organisers say it allows members of the public to experience the sacred connection the Gadigal people still have for the area.

I want to see this exhibition next time I visit Sydney. It seems a great contribution but I din't see any details about opening hours or where to find it.

That is really awesome.. we should get these for every city!!! Shame the interview didn't show off the exhibit itself so much! But I guess that's to tantalise one to visit it in person..
