A man has suffered a split lip and lost a tooth after being struck by a glass allegedly thrown by a woman across a dance floor in a Sydney pub, police say.

A Sydney man has lost a tooth and had his lip split after he was hit in the face by a glass, allegedly thrown at him across a dance floor by a woman.

The 20-year-old man was injured after a confrontation with a man and a woman in a pub on Willoughby Road in Crows Nest at about 2.15am (AEST) on Sunday, police said.

While walking off the dance floor he was pushed in the back before the female allegedly threw a glass at him, knocking out a tooth and cutting his lip.

He was given first aid by hotel staff.

Police are hoping to speak to a man, described as having slight facial hair, and a woman who is of Caucasian appearance and about 25-30 years of age with long dark hair, about the incident.

A 27-year-old man was also allegedly glassed following an argument at a pub in Kings Cross on Sunday morning.

A quarrel broke out between two men just before 4am (AEST) at a hotel on the corner of William and Victoria Streets, police said.

The 27-year-old man sustained a cut and bruising to his nose.

Investigations into the incident were continuing, police said.
