SA girl charged after three men stabbed

A 16-year-old girl will face court on Monday in South Australia on an attempted murder charge after three men received knife wounds.

A 16-year-old girl has been charged with attempted murder after three men were stabbed during an Adelaide altercation.

One of the men, aged 42, received multiple stab wounds and is in a serious but stable condition in hospital, police said on Saturday.

Police were called to Gawler, in the city's north, shortly before 9.30pm (CST) on Friday after the 42-year-old was reportedly stabbed in the back and chest.

A 40-year-old man also received a severely lacerated thumb which required surgery, while a 36-year-old received minor cuts.

Detectives arrested the 16-year-old girl at the scene.

She has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated cause serious harm and aggravated assault.

Bail was refused and she's expected to appear in court on Monday.
