Stabbings in NSW may be bikie-linked

The stabbing of two men on the NSW central coast may be bikie-linked, and came less than two hours before another stabbing in Sydney's west.

The stabbing of two men during a fight on the NSW central coast may be bikie-related, police say.

A number of men are believed to have been involved in a brawl at Scenic Drive, Budgewoi shortly before 11pm (AEST) on Sunday, police said.

Two men were taken to John Hunter Hospital in critical condition after police arrived, leading the crowd to disperse in cars.

A 27-year-old man is being treated for stab wounds to his arm and stomach while a 48-year-old man is receiving treatment for stab wounds to his back.

A third man, 44, sustained lacerations to his head.

Detectives from Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command and the State Crime Command's Gangs Squad are investigating the stabbings and any links to outlaw motorcycle gangs.

Shortly after midday (AEST) on Sunday, a man was stabbed at Merrylands in Sydney's west.

Two car loads of people had driven to Bertha Street shortly before the fight, during which a 19-year-old man was stabbed once to the chest with a flick knife.

Six males aged in their late teens to their early 20s were arrested but were later released without charge.

The injured man was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment and later released, and police say he had refused to co-operate or provide a statement.

Police will forensically examine a knife found at Bertha Street.
