NZ struggling against India in cricket

India's cricketers have the upper hand at Bangalore with New Zealand nine 2nd-innings wickets down and just 244 runs ahead after three days.

New Zealand's cricketers were 9-232 in their second innings at stumps for an overall lead of 244 runs on the third day of the second and final Test against India in Bangalore on Sunday.

James Franklin (41), skipper Ross Taylor (35), Kruger van Wyk (31) and Daniel Flynn (31) were the main scorers for New Zealand, while off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin bagged five wickets for India.

India, who won the opening Test by an innings and 115 runs, were earlier bowled out for 353 in their first innings in reply to New Zealand's 365.

Middle-order batsman Virat Kohli top-scored for India with 103, while New Zealand paceman Tim Southee finished with a career-best 7-64.
