NSW bushfire finally contained

A major bushfire on the NSW Central Coast has been contained by firefighters thanks to scattered showers and cooler conditions.
Residents whose properties were under threat have returned home after the blaze at Pretty Beach and Lobster Beach, near Gosford, was brought under control.
More than 120 firefighters plus water-bombing aircraft spent Friday afternoon battling the fire after it jumped containment lines.
It has since burnt over 90 hectares of bush and scrub land. The Rural Fire Service (RFS) said smoke could still be seen in the area as the fire burns within the containment lines.
The Bouddi National Park remains closed while fire crews inspect damaged trees.
At least 20 homes along High View Road were evacuated on Friday as flames fanned by gusty winds headed towards their properties.
RFS spokesman Brendan Doyle said no houses were lost but two timber deckings were damaged.
"The fire was literally on the doorsteps of some properties," he told AAP on Saturday.
Mr Doyle said the onset of cooler temperatures and easing winds overnight had allowed firefighters to begin critical back-burning and water-bombing operations to protect the homes in the area.
"We've had scattered showers around much of the fire grounds which have helped firefighters contain the fire," he said. "Crews will start to be stood down as of Sunday. Only essential crews willbe on the ground.
"Hopefully a bit of normality can be restored for residents now and they can enjoy their weekend."
More than 30 fires were burning across the state on Friday, including at Wyee, where a fire that initially broke out on Thursday reignited on Friday.
That fire has also been contained, the RFS said.
