The 10th anniversary of the Bali bombings is expected to draw a big turnout for a memorial service for NSW victims at Sydney's Dolphin Point.

Jane Elkin says it doesn't get any easier with passing years to attend the annual memorial service marking the Bali bombings that killed her brother David and five of his footy mates.

"It's really hard but it's nice," she said ahead of the commemoration at Coogee in Sydney's east, 10 years on from the blasts that claimed the lives of 202 people, including 88 Australians.

A bigger turnout than usual is expected at the Bali bombings memorial at Coogee's Dolphin Point on Friday, October 12, for the 10th anniversary service.

The bombs that ripped through two Kuta nightclubs on October 12, 2002, in Indonesia's worst terror attacks, came just one year after the September 11 attacks in the US.

Among those killed were six members of the Coogee Dolphins rugby league club and three members of the Forbes rugby union club in central west NSW.

Twenty Sydney eastern suburbs locals were among 43 victims from NSW.

Ms Elkin, whose brother David Mavroudis was a Dolphins player when he was killed at the age of 28, said she always attended the Dolphin Point service with her parents from Wagga Wagga.

"That's our thing to do, we have no interest in going back to Bali for any kind of services," she told AAP.

Ms Elkin said at least 10 Wagga Wagga schoolmates of her brother would also be at the ceremony.

"It's just as sad every year, it doesn't get any easier, it's one of those things where it's really hard but it's nice," she said.

The club's official dolphin logo now includes the numbers 6-10-5-8-3-4, the jersey numbers of the six players who died.

Forbes Rugby Union Club Secretary Grant Nicholson said he and his clubmates would go out for "a few beers".

"Everyone has their own way of remembering," he said.

Foreign Minister Bob Carr and NSW Premier Barry O'Farrell will be among dignitaries attending the Dolphin Point service.
