Many in the Bosnian Australian community are relieved Radovan Karadzic is being trialled in the Hague, but some Serbian Australians doubt he will get a fair trial.

It has taken 17 years to get Radovan Karadzic to trial in The Hague, and many in the Bosnian Australian community are relieved that it's finally happening.

But some in the Serbian Australian community still have faith in their former leader and don't trust the tribunal in The Hague.

SBS reporter Hanna Belcher reports.

Well, it has been almost 70 years & some still have faith in Hitler. People have an amazing way of justifying evil & experiance tremandous difficulty in looking beyond a distinctive > 1% DNA & put in focus the 99+% DNA that is in common.

The double standard of justice

How many other war criminals have escaped justice. Look at Bill Clinton who was allowed to bomb civillian targets in Belgrade when the serbian people of Kosovo tried to defend themselves against Albanian terrorists. The Hague has one type of justice for the Serbs and another type for everyone else. I urge everyone to Google "Jasenovac" to discover the truth behind the history of the Serbian struggle and how the Catholic church has escaped from justice with the atrocities it had committed.
