Some powerful figures within the Jewish community are spending big money trying to portray President Obama as an enemy of Israel, Senior Correspondent Brian Thomson reports from Florida.

In a state where the margin for victory may come down to a few thousand votes, every vote is critical, which is why the Jewish vote is being targeted so heavily.

Because of their strong turnout at the polls, the Jewish community represents seven per cent of the electorate in Florida, despite making up only three per cent of the state's population.

Brian Thomson looks at the fierce campaigning underway in the state that will shortly play host to the final US election debate.

Mitt Romney targeted the Israeli / Jewish vote from the very beguining. , he said the Jewish state's economic success compared with its Palestinian neighbours was due to "cultural" differences and the "hand of providence", and declared Jerusalem to be "the capital of Israel". The guy has been kissing Jewish ass from the start. I think that many people around the world already realize that to win an american election you must first have the backing of Israel. Don't you agree George Bush ?
