Austin Perrott from Melbourne pleaded guilty to nine counts of obtaining financial advantage by deception.
The court heard the 45-year-old got the points between 1996 and 2002 while working as a Singapore Airlines customer services supervisor in Melbourne.
Using 29 different accounts Perrott took advantage of a computer system irregularity to gather points from frequent flyer programs at nine different airlines.
The court heard he stole about 400 thousand dollars worth of points which he mostly sold to family and friends.
He's been jailed for six months with 26 months suspended for two years.
