An Air France jet flying from Seoul in South Korea to Paris has made an emergency landing in Siberia after one of its engines malfunctioned, the airline has reported.

None of the 263 passengers or crew was injured when the Boeing 777 aircraft landed in the Russian city of Irkutsk.

A spokesman for Air France said the airline was investigating the cause of the malfunction.

Passengers were spending the night in Siberia before being flown onto to Paris in a replacement aircraft.
