A short 45 second video clip, available on the internet, has been released showing Hungary's prime minister Ferenc Gyurcsany imitating the scene from the 2003 film, in which Mr Grant dances around 10 Downing Street to the tune of Pointer Sisters’ Jump (For my Love)

Mr Gyurcsany made the clip last summer as part of a wedding present to government spokesman Andras Batiz.

"(Batiz) asked if it would bother me if he showed the clip to his friends and relatives, if it would embarrass me if my clowning around gained wider distribution," Mr Gyurcsany wrote in his internet dairy.

"I answered that it would not."

Analysts said the clip, along with his blog, or internet diary, was a clear attempt by Mr Gyurcsany to help lighten his image and appeal to younger voters.
