He is the first of the six to be laid to rest.
His funeral came as the father of the man charged with causing their deaths expressed his sympathy and grief over the tragedy.
In a statement, Graham Towle, father of Thomas Graham Towle, spoke of his own suffering in the wake of the tragedy.
"... with pain and tears, I want everyone to know I feel so sorry for the families and friends of the grieving and (for the) dreadful loss that has happened," Mr Towle said in a hand-written statement.
"The community has rallied around all concerned and I, as the father (of the accused) and grandfather (of the two children
allegedly in the car with him), publicly thank them for their kindness and words of compassion."
Cory Dowling, 16, Shane Hirst, 16, his sister Abby Hirst, 17, Stevie-Lee Weight, 15, and Cassandra Manners, 16, died instantly when a Ford station wagon skidded into a group of 13 young people waiting for a taxi outside the party at Cardross near Mildura on Saturday night.

Thomas Graham Towle, 34, of Red Cliffs, has been remanded in custody on six counts of culpable driving causing death, four counts of negligently causing serious injury, one count of failing to stop at the scene of an accident and one count of failing to render assistance.
Many of those who turned out for the funeral were teenagers, many of them in tears.
Extra chairs were set up outside Mildura's Sacred Heart Catholic Church to accommodate the mourners.
Father John Monaghan read a statement from Australian Governor General Michael Jeffrey.
"At this hour of great sadness, my wife Marlena joins me and all Australians in expressing our heartfelt sympathy to you all... I hope you can find some comfort in the knowledge that you will be in the nation's thoughts and prayers at this distressing time," he read.
Three of the other accident victims - Cassandra Manners, and siblings Shane and Abby Hirst - will be farewelled on Friday, and a service for Stevie-Lee Weight is planned for Saturday, while a service for the sixth victim, Josephine Calvi, will be held on Monday.
