US Federal Judge Jed Rakoff last month ordered the government to release their identities, rejecting arguments that this might put their families in danger.

The US District Court also ordered the Pentagon to release uncensored transcripts and related documents pertaining to the Guantanamo Bay detainees.

Hundreds of men and a number of teenagers have been held at the offshore US military base, some for as long as four years.
