Labor says it's outraged by remarks by the Workplace Relations minister that workers may not benefit from the new industrial relations system for up to five years.
Kevin Andrews said last night it might be three to five years before the government's workplace changes are felt.
Labor's industrial relations spokesman, Stephen Smith, says the remarks contradict the government's campaign to convince the public of the merits of its overhaul.
"Day two, and the whole economic basis of the Government's claims are blown away by the minister overnight, saying if there is any economic benefit to be gained from these proposals, we won't see them for three to five years."
