State and federal treasurers are meeting in Canberra today, to discuss the Commonwealth-state revenue system.
This week, the New South Wales government launched a 400-thousand-dollar television, radio and newspaper campaign against the way G-S-T revenues are allocated among the states.
In response, the federal government has launched its own campaign, countering the state's argument and copying its "it's just not fair" catchline.
The New South Wales Treasurer, Michael Costa, says he has written to the Advertising Standards Board, asking it to rule that the federal advertisements are misleading.
