Wet weather is hampering efforts to restore power in cyclone-ravaged north Queensland.
More than eight thousand homes and businesses in the Innisfail region are still without electricity, after cyclone Larry cut electricity from almost 140,000 premises last Monday.
Ergon Energy says five to 10 per cent of the region could be blacked out for several more days.
Power was restored to more than 1800 homes and businesses in the area last night, 1300 are expected to get electricity today.
