Police say the arrests of three men in Melbourne have significantly disrupted the activities of a terrorist group allegedly plotting an attack in Australia.
Australian Federal Police commissioner Frank Prendergast says more arrests are possible, as material seized from the suspects is examined.
The 21, 25 and 26- year-old men arrested last night are believed to be part of an un-named group with links to terrorist organisations overseas.
They all face a maximum of 25 years jail on charges of being members of and intentionally funding a terrorist group.
Two of them also face charges of supporting a terrorist organisation.
The three men are believed to belong to the same prayer group as the ten Victorians arrested in Melbourne last November.
