The Commonwealth Games Minister, Justin Madden, says Victoria will consider competing as a separate state at the next games in Delhi.
Mr MADDEN said Victoria was sick of carrying the rest of the nation to sporting glory.
He said Victorian athletes had contributed far more to the national medal tally than any other state or territory, with 24 gold medals.
Meanwhile, he's refused to comment on reports that several international teams in the Formula One Grand Prix have been barred from taking part in today's Qualifying Race, because their cars have not been issued with roadworthy certificates.
