The Federal Opposition is calling for an end of the so-called "cartoon-war" with Indonesia.
A caricature depicting Indonesia's Prime Minister as a copulating dog appeared on a the weekend Australian newspaper Saturday, after an Indonesian newspaper portrayed the Australian prime minister and foreign minister in the same way.
Shadow Foreign Affairs spokemsan Kevin Rudd says it is important to recognise that both countries have a free press, and too much attention on the cartoon will only fuel tension between them.
