The Federal Opposition leader has called on the Prime Minister John Howard, to join senior ministers in appearing before the Cole inquiry into the Australian Wheat Board actions in Iraq.
The Trade Minister Mark Vaile and the Foreign Minister Alexander Downer will appear before the inquiry on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
Mr Beazley says it is now time for the Mr Howard to take responsibility for the issue.
He says, "if the prime minister appears before the Cole inquiry, it will give the Australian public a chance of knowing some of the truth."
