The News South Wales Health Minister, John Hatzistergos says the federal government is not doing enough to restrict how 'junk' food is advertised to young children.
Mr Hatzistergos met with other state and federal health ministers yesterday to discuss restrictions on food advertising due to climbing obesity rates
He says the state governments want to implement changes as quickly as possible, but the federal government want another two years of research.
He says that it will be difficult for the state governments to regulate without an agreement from the Commonwealth.
