The Prime Minister, John Howard has refused to enter into a debate on whether to allow the family of war veterans to march on ANZAC Day.
A group representing some veterans of the Second World War says the Returned Services League (RSL) should review the current rules, and allow only veterans to march.
The Rats of Tobruk Association claims the inclusion of children and family members is diluting the meaning of the march.
But President of the RSL in New South Wales, Don Rowe says the march could die out, without the inclusion of families.
