Dozens of homes and businesses in far north Queensland still have no power almost a month after Cyclone Larry swept through the region.

Energy crews are trying to reconnect about 200 homes and
businesses today and over the weekend.

It will cost around 30 million dollars to reconnect the power
to the buildings blacked-out during the category-five cyclone at the end of March.

Many of the homes and businesses are too unsafe to have electricity restored, with most of these situated in remote parts of the Atherton Tablelands.

Meanwhile, portable homes will be transported to the region to
help families still struggling to find accommodation.
